Helping Real Families Find Great‑Value Travel, Days Out & Entertainment

I started Dice, Days & Daughters to share tips, ideas and experiences with other parents who love the idea of travelling with their kids but sometimes feel overwhelmed, priced‑out, or unsure where to start.

Maybe you’re trying to plan holidays that don’t cost the earth.

Maybe you’re tired of squeezing a big family into hotel rooms that were never designed for you.

Maybe you want days out, games, and simple ideas that keep everyone smiling without adding more stress to your plate.

I get it — because that’s our life too.

I’m Lizzie: mum of four girls, lifelong planner, and the creator of Dice, Days & Daughters, a space built for real families who want great‑value adventures and honest, practical guidance.

Our home is full of noise, snacks, board games, and the joyful chaos that comes with raising a big young family. We travel together, play together, and make memories in the in‑between moments - and I’ve learned that with the right mindset (and a very organised boot), even the biggest adventures can feel doable.

I struggled to find holiday options for big families like ours

When I went looking for family travel advice, I found plenty of picture‑perfect holidays… but not much that reflected real life with multiple young children. I couldn’t find many resources for families like ours - families who want to explore, have fun, and get great value without feeling overwhelmed.

So I decided to share what I know.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Realistic travel tips for big or busy families
  • Honest reviews of holiday parks, attractions, and days out
  • Family‑friendly board games that don’t take an hour to learn
  • Practical ideas for making memories without pressure or perfection

If you’ve ever thought, “This looks great… but will it work for a family like mine?” - this space was made for you.

What we love...and what you’ll find here...

We’re big fans of European road trips, magical play parks, zoo days, and holiday parks that actually understand what families need. But travelling with four young children isn’t always represented online - so I’m here to show the alternatives, the clever hacks, and the real‑life moments that make it all worthwhile

My goal is simple:
To help you feel seen, supported, and inspired to explore in ways that work for your family - not the Instagram version.

ADD TO THIS LATER - I can book travel for others with families like ours.

From corporate PA to independent travel agent

Before launching my own business, I spent a decade as a PA in the charity sector - a role that taught me organisation, empathy, and how to keep a hundred plates spinning without dropping any.

Now, I’m a full‑time self‑employed Virtual Assistant supporting small businesses and women‑led brands, and the founder of Dice, Days & Daughters. Alongside my VA work, I share honest, practical travel insight for families who don’t fit the typical “2 adults, 2 kids” mould. I also help families discover and book holidays that genuinely work for their needs.

Choosing self‑employment wasn’t just a career move - it was a family decision. Traditional annual leave doesn’t stretch across school holidays, and I wanted a life where I could work with my children, not around the edges of their lives. That balance is at the heart of everything I do.
